i think anytime she wants to. I have been on dates where the guy pays, but i never have a problem taking him out to do something he likes and paying for it.

A girl can pay for a date any time. I think it's particularly appropriate for a girl to pay if she was the one who asked the guy for a date - it seems a little crass to invite someone out and then expect them to pay for your part.
Really though, this isn't 1950 - gender roles in the dating scene are changing and really aren't all that important. Take any situation where it would be okay for a guy to pay, and reverse roles.

It's never ok for a woman to pay for a date. Call me old fashion, but it's also not ok for a girl to ask a guy out. She should wait to be asked. And the guy should ask the girls father if he can take his daughter out. And much more...man our society is really messed up these days.

I paid on the second date, he was a little taken back at first. But i don't feel a guy should pay all the time, and shame on chicks that think a guy should all the time.

NEVER. If he's a true gentleman, expect him to pay for the date.
Two things about dating:
1) always bring cab fare with you in case the date is not going well and you want to get home
2) The man ALWAYS pays

Most of the time the guy should try to cover the expenses. Although sometimes it depends on the relationship or the understanding between the guy and the girl.

Whenever she wants as long as its ok with her date. Also if she feels like she can buy her way out of having to put out later if he pays.

The girl should ask the guy about it. It makes it easier to resolve rather than wonder who will be paying. Just suggest to him about the paying and see what he as to say about it!

I guess I am old fashioned, but I always thought the man is supposed to pay. But, then I think the man should open doors for the woman, etc. I guess I am an old fashioned "girl". ha, ha..
