right now......... i'm just wondering if i just have too much on my plate. i am an International Baccalaureate student with a 4.63 weighted GPA (out of 5)..... I am a highschool senior and I have 5 IB (college credit classes), a pottery class and a band class (in which I have first chair clarinet, and student conductor).... I am also taking one online course as a dual enrollment course - Trigonometry.
I've been able to do well all these years, but this year is exceptionally difficult. I just can't seem to manage my time at all. I'll come home from school, spend the whole day working on homework and still not complete everything on time. It's not that I'm not trying, I just can't get everything done on time. Now..... I'm facing a C in Trig (ahh!!! C???!) and C in Biology....... They were F's before and I'm pretty sure I have a D in English also...... sigh. I just. I don't know..... I don't feel like I have "senioritis".... I've only gotten one C in my life and it was in 8th grade......

It is hard to know exactly what is going on with you. You are doing a lot, and it seems that until this semester, you have been very successful at it. There are a few possibilities. First of all, you may just be burned out. After years of building up your record for college applications, some people do suddenly feel a need to let up a bit. You also may be distracted by worrying about what comes next. It is also possible that the courses you are taking now just are harder than what you have done before. Finally, there is a possibility that you are mildly depressed. I know that one of the signs of depression for me is that I'm less organized than usual and that it takes me longer to get everything done than usual.

Go talk to the teachers if you think you're doing poorly. Find out if you can get extra help or extra projects to bring up your mark. And if not...maybe just drop a course that you can take next semester or at a different time. If you don't have enough time to do your work and if you're actually trying to do the work on time obviously that is not the issue. The issue would be the amount of work so it might be a good idea to just take a load off

Stop taking on so much at once. Problem solved.
