how dumb but I'm talking about my betta fish. the lady at the pet store said to feed it two little pellets PER DAY. but mine gets angry if i dont give him 7, 3 times a day. he'll jump of out of his water and bang against the glass....is it gonna be ok if i feed him so much? i hate when fish die cuase i feel bad. and he's been alive for awhile, so i dont wanna hurt him.
dumb question but i need an answer.

He isn't jumping and slamming against the glass because his food schedule angers him, he is doing this because he has related you and your hand to food (he sees you, he often gets fed). His jumping is just an overzealous attempt at catching the food (like he might catch a small flying insect). 3-4 pellets twice a day is plenty, 21 pellets a day is a sure fire path to constipation (which can be lethal if left untreated). If your fish is ok with the feeding schedule you have been giving him, then he has most likely grown acostom to it, and if he is not showing signs of illness, you should continue with what you have been doing. I feed my betta 5-7 betta bites per day, and the occasional live brine shrimp treat. Every betta I have ever owned has lived for at least 1 year, and the longest I had one was 6 years.

i think that lady is trying to make you kill ur betta so youll have to buy a new one ud be surprised how screwed up people are
but i dont think the banging against glass and jumping is because its mad cuz you arnt feeding it. it probably just sees its own reflection and bettas are super krazy psycho insanely aggressive, so they go super krazy on their images of themselves

hmmmm maybe the glass reflects ur fish image and its pissed at it so its trying to attack it.
when it repeatedly falls out... its probably retarded.....
just put a screen on top of the bowl so it cant escape. also have weights on the screen so the screen cant fall out
pet shop workers try to ake you keep on buying their pets so they give out crapppy advice to make you come back to but anotha fishie if
