it usually means thats when everything has to be postmarked.. but some it has to be in there by then.. just play it safe and turn it in a week early or soemthin!!

They mean that the deadline is that day, not the day before. However, you may need to turn things in before a particular office closes that day, so make sure things are there by the end of the workday, not midnight!

It varies by school. Read the deadline statement carefully. If it isn't specific you can argue you case and get what you need.

The same day ... till 11:59 and 59 seconds ... I know ... unless a specific time is given with the date.

Play it safe and assume it is the day before. Take it from personal experience.

usually when they say a specific date it means that it is due on or before that date.
