(cot(x) - tan(x)) / (cot(x) + tan(x)) = cos(2x)

(cos(x) - sin^2(x)/cos(x)) / (cos(x) + sin^2(x)/cos(x)) = cos(2x)

(cos^2(x) - sin^2(x)) / (cos^2(x) + sin^2(x)) = cos(2x)

(cos^2(x) - sin^2(x)) = cos(2x)

cos(2x) = cos(2x)
