I didnt get anything last year or the year before that so I sure hope I'm getting something this year.

At this stage of my life -- especially being an Empty-Nester who has her own home, her pensions, and yes, things that she needs ... I don't need anything -- and IF I want something -- then I can TREAT myself -- because I've EARNED the income over many, many years.
That is why my special someone (who I started dating this year) and I AGREED to NOT Exchange any Gifts this Christmas -- we are both Empty-Nesters (with our own homes and our own incomes), and we just want to share the Holidays together without any pressure at all.
