The hatred Sunni muslims and Shia muslims goes far beyond this time period. It goes back centuries. (something Bush conveniently forget when he decided to invade another country and then try to force them to set up a government like the USA's). In fact, that was one problem they were having in Iraq before the war- Hussein was Sunni when the country is predominantly Shiaa, so they were having lots and lots of problems. Anways, to say "stop killing people and talk" isn't really a realistic solution... I do not think a Democracy would work in Iraq, at least not right now, because of the Sunni/Shia division. Also, MOST of the world is not "democratic". Very few countries are democracys. Just because the USA is that way doesn't mean the rest of the world is.

Also, it is stupid of you to say "when will the Muslims learn". That makes it sound as if ALL Muslims go around killing each other-- not true at all. Murder is not what Muslims are about. Their religion is quite a peaceful one and their is a lot of good in it (there has to be, it's the fastest growing church in the world!). So before you go around making accusations about a religion you are probably ignorant to, educate yourself about what Islaam is REALLY about. Don't label an entire religious group by the actions of a few extremists/terrorists within the group.

When will fundementalist right wing christians stop empossing their will amongst anyone. You're question is based up stereo typical thoughts and generalizations and leads the reader (answerer) into believing Muslims in general are a problem and begs for a negative answer supporting your narrow views on world politics, culture and diversity. I've seen many Musims (and Arabs, Hindu's, Communist, etc) argue pratical issues with clear and professional diplomacy. You make the argument, or question in this case completely irrelevant because you generalize a religion and a people based upon a small percentage of the Muslim community. I could easily ask when will african americans start working and earning their own way in life and stop looking for handouts simply because a small percentage of their community and ethnicity behave in such a way. I could ask when will most Americans learn that there are more than one perspective in this world than just our own and realize that when we ignore, scoff at, and downright ridicule beliefs that differ from ours simply because of a few narrow minded individuals who view the world through such narrow eyes and mind that they miss the beauty of having such differences. I believe you are referencing the fundamentalist, extreme Muslim groups and states, but again, it's the same as asking any other question. When will the KKK start acting with reason and realize that peope are people. When will medical companies start caring more about the patients they are "helping" than their bottom lines and profit margins? When will I stop writing this answer? I think the real question is when will people start treating people with dignity and respect and try to understand other perspectives rather than resist and fight? How can you possibly argue against something you don't understand?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. You're funny, nice joke for a turn to the silly in this world.
Never, and if you really understood their point of view you would not have asked the question to begin with. What stops them is a bigger "club" than what they have. It is all part of their belief system. For a good over view of this, get and read the book "Unveiling Islam", it may very well be an eye opener for you. This current situation is not the first time we have clashed with those people of that region. Search out our early history and how the Barbary Pirates were handled. We tried appeasement and literally buying protection from them. Eventually we went to war with them. One of the more famous missions of the frigate USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) was a voyage to Tripoli to free another frigate that ran aground there, or to burn that frigate. After that was done, the city was bombarded. We fought like demons, but were merciful to those that surrendered. That ended the problem with them, then, we need to do the same thing now.

Musim religion offers a state of frenzy amonst its huge followers.Even though they have some very good values they also are barbaric in many of their rules which are strictly maintained. The introduction of Muslims into a Western society are challenging. But the ongoing treatment of women leaves a lot to be desired.Things in Britain would be more settled if the Muslim community came into line with our values and are trying to move in this direction. In general I dont beleive that Muslims are hated in Britain but an all out attempt should be made to bring them into line with our cultures.it is a reasonable thing to ask considering the UK belongs to its British people. We must continue to keep the peace and intergrate some of their values along side our own.
