cousins gram died 11/28/07?

Hi, my cousins gram died November 28, and you know what the really sad part is, that when anyone wanted to go visited her, her gram couldnt move, couldnt talk, or couldnt listen. How do you think she knew she was going? Why do people before they die cant like hear anyone? How can i make my cousin feel better.
