My husband and I are going to Disney World and leaving this weekend. We are not taking out 16 month old son (who wouldn't remember the experience anyway). This also our late honeymoon. I know that he will be in good hands with the grandparents, but I am having trouble with it because he is with me everyday. I'm sure they should be okay with your in-laws, if they usually are. However, that would bother me. I see where it might bother you.

Look did your in laws do a good job with your husband ? Then you have your answer. It is totally normal to be scared when leaving your kids with someone other than your own parents who you obviously trust. You will have to get used to the idea sooner or later. Try asking them in a nice way to spend some personal time with the kids because you want them to know and love there grandparents and not so much the nanny.
Good Luck but this can be a delicate situation so handle it carefully.

Well, It may be okay. But I wouldn't leave my kids with anyone unless they are plus 4 - 5 years.

If you trust your in laws i can not see a problem, but a family holiday would suit me better.
