Anti glare , is not anti fatigue :)

You would be doing your self a favor buy using a larger CRT
like a 21" . Eye strain is common on small screens , you will best be advised to take small breaks , and focus your eyes on something across the room once in awhile . Also have you played around with the video card settings ? If you can adjust the refresh rate from 60 Hz to something faster , say 85 Hz that may help your eyes out as well . Use a larger font and a lower resolution - 1024 x 768 could help as well . ( or even 800 x 600 ) Adjust the contrast and brightness of your monitor to your liking .
I find that it is easy on my eyes to use a lamp that is close by that reflects light off the ceiling for lighting , because reflected light is better for your eyes too . P.S. I hate LCD's

Anti glare is to stop things reflecting on your screen (such as bright lights or sun through the window) Sounds more like you are suffering from eye fatigue.

Have a look at some sites about taking regular breaks and eye exercises. Here is one example.

Can't argue the logic of going to a LCD screen as it does make a difference and is easier on the eyes. Surprisingly though studies have shown that this is because you are able to have the screen further away from your eyes because of the slimmer design of the moniter and the space available on your desk more so than the clariy of the screen.

While working around all of these fancy monitors, I have to ask, when's the last time you had your eyes examined?

If you wear glasses, you can opt for an anti-reflective coating that will reduce the stress and fatigue that glare can cause on the eyes.

Yes go to LCD, you won't regret it. If you've got some bills to burn, I can not recommend this LCD highly enough: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&sku=320-5647

Although starting at a CRT for ten hours straight never bothered my eyes either.
