If you're willing to spend, how about the Megaset of Monty Python's Flying Circus. It's the Holy Grail (pardon the pun) for any true Monty Python fan.

Monty Python's Flying Circus is the name of the tv show that the group had. So, as long as she doesn't have any dvds/vhs of the show, then getting her a Flying Circus set/dvd will be a good thing to get her.

I'm personally fond of the Monty Python Live dvd set. It has their Live Hollywood Bowl performance, the compilation movie "Parrot Sketch Not Included", the "lost" German episode of Flying Circus, and a 30 year retrospective called "Live In Aspen." And it's only $15 on amazon.com.

If she likes British comedy of the 70's in general try tracking down "Jabberwocky" it was directed by Terry Gilliam and stars Michael Palin and is a treasure trove of cameos by British comic actors.

If she likes John Cleese she might like "A Fish Called Wanda".
