They knew they were cousins when they got married. Rudy took a trip to Kentucky and heard some southern wisdom. How can she be good enough for anyone else if she ain't good enough for the family ; P

Usually, you are not supposed to marry first and second cousins. It can cause birth defects etc. But many people of the Americans south did marry first cousins. That has been faded out with education.
In Europe marrying first cousins was also common practice and the term blue blood, from England, is why that was used. Why they say the royal family was so intermarried back in the day and the mental disorders and birth defects it caused. But again, it too has been fading with education.

It's done, but it's not the norm. It's a myth that being even as close as first cousins causes a potential problem with children, so many states now allow cousins to marry. But, and this is a big but, most Americans could never get past that "ick" factor. Our revulsion at the thought of incest is deeply ingrained in most of us.

It is common around the world. In ancient Europe, people used to marry their sisters and brothers. We know that Egyptian pharaohs sometimes married a brother or sister.
Moses’ own father, Amram, married an aunt, his father’s sister name Jochebed.

The first testament put an end to the practice of marrying brothers and sisters.

It happens, but could hardly be deemed normal.
However, I do think it is trivial when compared to marrying and staying with a serial adulterer and sexual predator and participating in group sex yourself.

They weren't aware they were third cousins. They divorced when they did find out. No kids were involved. But I believe it's more of a common practice in Europe and other parts of the world.
No they didn't know they were related. Keep spinning.

Common in my family up to 60 years ago - still common around the world now in many cultures.

It is normal for republicans.
Republicans say they are the moral ones, then they get arrested soliciting sex in a airport men's room.
Republicans say they are the moral ones then the leaders of their church get arrested for having sex with boys.
Republicans say they are the moral ones and then they allow 911 hijackers to blow up buildings by stepping to the side when they could have prevented it.
Republicans are just all liars who only want to steal, steal, steal, and steal some more...oh, and they want to become dictators so they can never be made to stop stealing.
