I wouldn't be too worried about it - not if you'll be having it checked. I found that being pregnant made me alot more aware of my breasts and I would find all sorts of wierd things that would freak me out and turn out to be nothing. You can try to gently massage it if it's a plugged milk duct - if you're pressing super hard to find it, it's probably something else - like your body tissue or muscle or something. I did that thinking I was massaging a milk duct before I realized I gave myself a bruise :D

As your milk glands swell and prepare to produce milk, they can do funny things to your breasts and nipples. With my first baby, my left nipple ended up with an opening for milk on the side, so when I leaked it would squirt sideways! It's really kind of funny. They can also get kinda puckery if you're a little "chesty" (not so sure about smaller breasts, no experience there). But you should definately have your midwife check it out, just to be safe. Good luck.

I had the same problem from about 27 weeks on. My doctor said that it was pretty normal and blamed it on my fibrocystic breasts. I don't know what that means, but I know that as soon as I had the baby, the lumps slowly went away. And make sure that you are feeling with the palm of your hand or three flat fingertips. Checking any other way makes your tissue lump up and yu'll feel things that aren't really there.

I had a fibroadenoma (benign tumor) that was affected by pg hormones. The midwife should be able to help out. an ultrasound of the area can help figure it out without radiation

i can imagine that it is from natural causes, like some kind of natural swelling (even just during menstruation, i'm told that you can have some bumps in there), but it's always good to check it out.

Oh, that doesn't sound to good. But maybe its due to your baby, I would just wait for the midwife.
