He's not hiring em, but Giuliani does seem a little soft to me.

That was strange and the questions I knew where a setup, the whole debate was strange, I guess be cause it was a set up, but you got to give the democrats a thumbs up for setting it up. Dumb Repubs fell for it again, will they ever learn.

What I heard, snipe ts of was that Mitt didn't know which is not unusual, but Rudy looked just like a demo when he ****** his head. Listen when it comes to the NWO, the demos and repubs are no different. President Clinton was just as big business as Bush, just a little more discreet. So you got to give Rudy that, he is not backin gup on the prolife deal or guns. Immigration, well he cannot have it all.. Five yers ago maybe. Too bad the people around us would not look to their people first instead of making a buck.

I feel so bad for the illegal aliens. the way the democrats are manipulating them. I just don't see anyway, logically that it can happen and with the cry of amnesty they are just making it worse.

H*ll with the crime friends are sick of it. They go where they fit in and then it is up to them to sort it out. Government tries, but you know how that goes. just look at the eyes of the demos at the next debate and if you have discernment, you can tell they are just setting up another plan to use them. Only ones that give a hoot are the Republicans and they will sort it out. Take care.

Giuliani was dealing with a situation where the Federal government wasn't (and still isn't) doing its job, so since those illegal aliens weren't going anywhere regardless of the fact that NYC reported them to the government, he wanted to document them in some way so he would know who was in his city.

If Romney and Thompson want to trash the strongest Repulican candidate so that, if he gets the nomination, they will have weakened him and the chance for a Republican to get in office by misrepresenting what Giuliani did about illegal aliens, that's their decision. But we'll end up with some loony peace, love and understanding Dem in office in a very dangerous world. Trashing each other on the same side should at least be trashing them on facts, not misrepresenting the issue.

Having said that, I'm not sure Giuliani would be a strong 'anti-amnesty' guy, but if you want a Tom Tancredo in there, who will definitely work for no amnesty, then we're stuck with him leading our country in other ways. Not a good choice.

Rudy Giuliani wants to win. That means, in the general election, he needs to be able to compete for the votes of Moderates, Independents, and even Democrats. He's too much of a hothead to not say something that he personally believes, but when it comes to things he doesn't believe it's chancy about what will come out.

He needs to appear appropriately conservative during the primaries, while not binding himself to any reactionary agenda that could jeopardize his "message" next summer and fall. Unfortunately for him, all this hemming and hawing just makes him look like an *rhymes with grass*.

He hides behind legalities; like when he said at the debate that the government "has the right" to impose limits on gun ownership; or at the first debate when he said that it would be "okay" if his Supreme Court appointees decided to uphold Roe v. Wade. Appearing to be "constitutionally-minded" isn't as good a defense for liberalism as he hopes, though.

Giuliani's not soft on illegal immigration; he's liberal on it. He's just hoping that he can play dodgeball long enough so that by the time it matters people will stop asking questions.

Articles like this crack me up....

"Republican White House hopeful Rudy Giuliani said Friday he wouldn't try to change laws that make citizens of children born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants, noting that it's a matter determined by the Constitution"

And then goes on to say Romney called Rudy soft on immigration implying that Romney would try to change this particular law. What a hoot. Maybe he would but I haven't seen it.

Do I think Rudy is soft on immigration? Absolutely. Not as soft as some of the libs, but deffinately softer than some of his competitors like Romeny.

Rudy's comments to Romney about a sanctuary mansion were UNCALLED for. Romney didn't know the people working there were illegals and did not actively protect them from deportation. Rudy did do this.
