since two heads are better than one, wouldn't they ace a school test? or do they do seperate tests? if so, wouldn't the twin just ask the other twin for the answers if they didn't know? would they have one boyfriend, and the guy two women?if not, so when one having sex with her boyfriend, the other experiences the whole thing- kinda like cheating? how does their body work? does the left twin control the left side, and the right twin the right side, so when each of them want to go a different way, they're stuck? i think the great thing about them, is they'll never be lonely, ever :)

Conjoined twins are two people. They do separate tests. They are on the honor system not to cheat. They each have their own boyfriends/ husbands. They don't feel each other having sex - except what anyone would feel being next to someone having sex.

Some conjoined twins are only joined at the head or the chest or another section of body. They usually have mostly all their own body parts. Sometimes one of the arms or legs stay very immature and needs to be amputated.

Movement requires coordination between the two. Some conjoined twins have one twin do all the moving as the second twin uses a wheelchair or a stool because the way they are conjoined only one can stand upright at a time.

They are definitely two people, each with their own feelings and personality. Not all conjoined twins are the same either. In most cases they each have an almost whole body themselves, but are stuck together somewhere on the body (the hips, chest or head for example). They usually each have their own partner and in school they do separate tests just like every other individual. If they cheat, they are first and foremost cheating on themselves. There also exist conjoined twins who can't see each other because they are conjoined on the back or on the back of the head, so they can't necessarily see what the other one is doing.

there are different types of conjoined twins.

1. Conjunction never involving heart or umbilicus
* Craniopagus: Cranial union only, about 2% of all conjoined twins.
* Pygopagus. Posterior union of the rump, about 19% of all conjoined twins.
2. Conjunctions Always involving the Umbilicus (Midline Conjunctions)
* Thoracopagus: Anterior union of the upper half of the trunk. The most common form of conjoined twins (about 35%), it always involves sharing the heart.
* Cephalopagus: Anterior union of the upper half of the body with two faces on opposite sides of a conjoined head. Extremely rare. The heart is sometimes involved. A combination of types 3 and 4 is called epholothoracopagus.
* Parapagus (sometimes called diprosopus): lateral union of the lower half, extending variable distances upward, about 5% of all conjoined twins. Heart sometimes involved.
* Ischopagus: Anterior union of the lower half of the body, about 6% of all conjoined twins. Heart not involved.
* Omphalopagus: Anterior union of the midtrunk, about 30% of conjoined twins.
3. Rare forms of conjoined twins, having different patterns.
* Parasitic twins: Asymmetrical conjoined twins, one twin being small, less formed, and dependent upon the other.
* Fetus in fetu: Situation in which an imperfect fetus is contained completely within the body of its sibling.

so not all types have 1 body and 2 heads, so....

that would be the most awkward sex... i mean, would you want to have sex next to your sister/brother? eh. unless that's your thing... but the twins probably work it out between them. i mean, if they both have different significant others, then you would have 4 people living together, because you can't separate the twins. it's probably really uncomfortable for the guys though... i'm sure they all share a bed, and they would probably get a little jealous when the other guy is having sex with his twin.

The show you saw was pretty clear on all the answers to these questions. Apparently you weren't listening very well.

As for boyfriends and sex -- the girls are only 16 and this is not an issue has been addessed about them in any public forum. To honor their privacy, it's probably best left that way.

lol never thought of that. But, usually they will be "disconnected" at birth if they had two bodies and two heads. I saw a show like that once, i saw that they were both working on homework, same thing but different papers. One was left handed, one was right handed. OMG what if they were both right handed or both left handed. Weird. I have a ton of questions now. Thanks. lol Kayleigh

I have thought about this also, and I have more questions.
What happens when they have a fight?
What if they cant stand each other?
What if they want to go to the toilet at exactly the same time?
If one of them is sick, does the other one look after the sick one?
What if one has a boyfriend, and the other one cant stand him?
Would they criticize each other during sex?
etc...etc....

I would think there were two people in one body and should be treated as such.
