I am working in private company and during my field duty I was assaulted by some locals. My police case is still going on but as I was on my duty am I have right to get compensation from company??

Yes. If you needed medical attention, it would be covered by workman's compensation.

Your company is only liable for Workman's Compensation for your injuries, lost wages, and any percentage of disability you incurred. If they were negligent in some way, you could collect for that, too, but it's rare. Any further compensation would have to be pursued against your attackers.

Well, that would depend on your company - if you were hurt in the line of duty then chances are you should be eligible for worker's comp as set out in the guidelines of your company - you should take it up with your supervisor and furthermore it doesn't hurt to ask.

If you were injured in the performance of your job, your employer should pay for the necessary medical treatment.
