By the Greek Orthodox Church the procedure is as described by Cpinatsi and that only if it is apparent that the life of the child is in grave danger. Anyone can do it as long as the child is still alive. My mother did that to the one before me that did not make it.
It is imperative that proper baptism is performed as soon as the child is out of danger.
The procedure is called "aerovaptisi or aerovaptisma " air baptism, and acceptable by the Church.

When I was a nursing student we were told while training in the new born unit if necessary we were to baptize the baby with water and make the sign of the cross on their forehead and say "I baptize thee in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen."
I never had to baptize anyone.

If there was only a few seconds for my newborn baby to live the bible gives permission to baptize the baby yourself. I would get some water and say you are now baptized in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit

Correct said by cpinatsi and airpole that in Greek orthodox faith you can baptize an infant only when it is near death and doctors can't help it.
It is called air-Baptism (Baptism in the air instead of water!). Anyone can perform it and it is quite simple.
You raise the infant up in the air three times while saying, “The Servant of God (name) is baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."
This happens only in great emergency and only when the child is beyond survival.
(It is sad to see so many answers by people who thought the question was a joke!!!)

Having been brought up in the Catholic faith, I learned that Baptism can be done by anyone under certain circumstances. I baptized each of my children after they were born.

I simply took my water from my bedside table and asked God to bless this water with his holiness. Then I dipped my fingers in the water, rubbed it on their foreheads, and said, simply: "I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."

In cases of emergency the bapptism is done in the air. You (not a priest) throw the baby in the air (not too much, you don't want to drop it) and say 3 times "VAptizetai o doulos tou theou ... eis to onoma tou Patros kai toy Yiou kai tiy agioy Pneymatos", and that is a valid baptism, but you have to do it properly later, in a church.

Seriously. You make the sign of the cross on their forehead and say, 'I baptise you in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit'. Done.
