I was not planning to get a sport bike, I was planning to get the Kawasaki Eliminator 125 or the Ex250 to save gas and for a good commuter....

Face it. Until you're 18, Mom & Pop are the boss.
You can't buy a bike, register a bike, sign an
insurance contract, get a permit or license,
without their concent.

You know you can get a moped under 50cc and not need a license. They are good on gas (duh), and can be fun. They are light weight, you can probably pick them up and run up stairs. And there are things you can do to make them faster. But if ecologic and economic it how you are thinking, you can't do much better without having to pedal.

You need to wait untill you are 18....but check with your local PD (police dept.) or SO (sheriffs Officer) to see what the state requires

Until you are 18, you must obey your parents, like it or not.
