I've been recently trying to boot from a CD so I can install Ubuntu... But when I restart my computer I see no 'Press F10/F12/Whatever' to get into the BIOS. I've tried to press F10 and whatever to see if it would do anything but nothing happens... Is there another way I can get my computer to boot from CD?

I have a Toshiba Satellite 2405-S201 laptop if that helps any...

On Toshiba laptops F2 will bring up the boot selection menu that will allow you to select which device to boot from and Esc will get you into the BIOS.

Try hitting F12 over and over while it is booting up. Don't stop hitting it. It will take you to the BIOS.

Try either the esc, F2, or DEL key to get into bios. It's different per manufacturer.

I don't have that particular computer. But try pressing "delete" during POST. Most desktop computers access the BIOS in that manner.
