If you are not the one paying the majority of the taxes, any tax "cut" won't amount to much. In 2005, those who earned $29,000 or more paid 96.54% of the total income tax. Fifty percent of the workforce earned LESS than $29,000 and paid a total of 3.46% of the total income tax. If you are one of those bottom 50%, of course any tax cut will not get you much. But then you didn't pay much either!
