This seems to be a very interesting question. I and can not render a legal opinion. But, I feel that the seizing of one's assets in this case is not possible by law. From the postings seen here, many people feel that such is a bad idea. But, also, impartially, from what I have seen posted, many times, and from my own work experience, many people in America do not have a good understanding of the Iraq War, so how can people judge correctly! Then, too, many people have their preferences and ideas as to right vs wrong. These are unpublished facts, but true: In 1990-91 we were the Iraq War negotiators. We successfully secured Saddam's agreement to withdraw from Kuwait. We and Saddam went the extra mile for peace and Saddam agreed to a peace summit, where items of regional security would be discussed and though any normal head of state would never agree, he held reservations and was open to inspections of his nation and weapon's program. I have never seen a man so sincere and honest. Many posters will jeer at these words, though true. If someone is truthful and your boss (President Bush) is lying, how can any responsible individual support one's employer? We were the negotiators (my company that I work for) of the Iraq War! And no WMD were ever found and no violations of UN Resolutions had occurred as such facts were falsified by the Bush administration at the UN. This is an illegal war that was intentionally set up by the Bush administration. 1.8 million Iraqi people were intentionally killed, so America could enforce its ways upon Iraq. We were the ones that got Saddam to agree and the Bush administration completely ignored this! If you've got a gun to a man's head and he said, "I give up, please don't shoot me. I've got a wife and children. You can take the money, but please don't shoot me. I support a family of five and three children under the age of 10!" Would you shoot the man? That's exactly what the Bush administration did to Saddam. An illegal war! While it may not be legal to seize Bush's assets for his role in the Iraq War, the thought is intriguing, it would deter future Presidents from thinking that they can get away with manipulating the Constitution for their own ends. Many people (Bush supporters) accept the fact that Saddam was a bloody dictator, who killed millions of his people, so they support the President and his killing of 1.8 million Iraqi people. But, for the insider, who has been in Iraq and worked with both the Iraqi and US governments at a fairly high level, you would know that such was not so. You would, also, see propaganda coming more from the Americans than the Iraqis. I say this unbiasedly! I would rather see right surface, than injustice for the people of Iraq. Wouldn't you? If my candidate for the office of the President in 2008 was George W. Bush or Giuliani and my career or business hinged on our success of either Bush or Giuliani coming into office and I was wrong, that Bush was a murderer, indeed, and guilty of high crimes and treason, as well as the deaths of 1.8 million innocent Iraqi citizens, I could not in good conscience endorse or support Bush or anyone who supported his agenda. Then, too, I can not see any American approving of this heinous and murderous war! If Bush is guilty let him pay! If Bush is not guilty, please vindicate him! When good employees, honorable employees, leave the employment of the Bush administration that should tell you something. We are testifying against our former employer and informing America of his sins. Should we have instead covered this up and not told anyone? Should Bush and Cheney's assets be seized to pay toward the lie-based war? Though it might not be possible legally, the question presents good possibilities! I would rather pay my assets, than be found as a traitor and be executed for treason! Perhaps the detractors in this thread would rather see Bush hanging, than to forfeit his assets! Yours, Max The correct answer is "Yes!" it should be seized! .

Hi, i just wish it could happen.

Then may be, they could 'at last' comprehend the agony of this retarded Adm. and it's outcome.

After all, this is a high price Americans and Iraqis are paying for decades to come i might add, only to feed these bush lovers ego, hatred and racism.

The problem with your statement is that we did not declare war alone. A large number of Democrats supported the resolution to oust Saddam and to use military force to do it. Interesting to see to what lengths Liberals will go to whitewash and spin their way out of their responsiblities. Oh and Joshet, the toll on 9-11 was 3000 not 5000 and I have not seen one piece of credible evidence that Bush was responsible for the attack.

ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY!!!!!

They voted him in and they support HIS war, let them pay for it. Bush murdered 5000+ people on 9/11 and his supporters should share in the punishment for that as well. I simply cannot believe that people have become so self-absorbed that they can't see what is really going on in this country.

WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE THERE IS NO AMERICA TO WAKE UP IN!!!!!!
