IQ tests indicate ONLY innate intelligence, basically what you were born with. It doesn't require education, it involves pattern recognition and stuff like that. However there are MANY online "IQ" tests, they aren't legitimate! In order to have your IQ tested properly, you have to go to a psychologist usually. I believe the average is around 100-104 for average in a legit IQ test.

Well, that's on the WISC scale which is not quite the same thing as an adult IQ.
Anyway an IQ score is meaningless. It's what you get when you take an IQ test. It's called a 'tautological definition'.
Now high IQ is highly correlated with generally accepted popular measures of intelligence. However the first thing they teach you in college is that correlation does not imply causation.
In other words, don't worry about it. No one has ever proven that having a high IQ means you are or will be smart.

No an iq of 98 is slightly below average, but within the average range.

who did your iq test ? a school? a private psychologist?
I had both my kids tested. It's really not a matter of how smart you are. My daughter is above average and has no common sense whatsoever. I'm wondering how she's going to cope in real life if she cant learn life skills.
You are right at normal iq. So whoever told you that you are dumb is STUPID.

IQ doesn't measure intelligence it measures how quickly you grasp things. So you would just be a slow learner, which many would consider dumb. I'm guessing you took the test online, those don't hold much weight.

I would consider myself pretty average with the potential for improvement. Your iq. is not written in stone, notthat yours is a bad one even if it were..but the more that you learn and the more that your brain becomes used to accessing and using information, the higher your iq. will go..within reason of course.

swity my iq is around 98 i was 21 and i was the smaartest in class am doing my third degree now and i go to clubs and have fun drive and live good but in relationships am messed up and am 22 finished hiigh school whn i was 16 so it aint nothing

No, I.Q. is ranged from 0-200 with 100 being "average".
So, at 98 you are just about average for your age.

no not at all. most iq tests aren't designed for 13 year olds. besides, iq only tests mental intelligence. not emotional intelligence, or any of the other intelligence types.

No way your iq is average don't listen to those other's they obviously have a much lower IQ.
