My cousin is moving back to mexico, he bought a plane ticket and is flying there tonight. However he does not have a passport, only his mexican ID, as he is not a US resident. He is not looking to return, only fly there. Will they let him fly there without one, or will they give him a hard time?

I guess there were a bunch of people at the airport with the same problem so the airline called the mexican consulate, and verifired everyones citizenship, and let them on the plane! Thanks for everyones help!

Passports ae required for all international flights. probably will not be allowed on the flight. He needs to call the airline now.

They won't give him a hard time if he is flying out of a town in Mexico. I don't know if he can fly out from the United States.

Good Luck!

He will not need one. Good thing, because not being a resident he can't get one. Only need for one is returning to US, not leaving.
