Look for the red tipped bulb. Insert it into your circuit and the lights should flash.

In the little bag sometimes attached to the end of the Christmas lights, you may find a red tip bulb. If you put this one in, it will surely flash. If not have a small child stand near the outlet and plug and unplug to get the effect you need.

There used to be a clear bulb with a red tip that you could put in your colored lights and make them blink. Maybe they still do. Check any extra lights you got with tree.

Usually with the package of lights there is a baggy of replacement bulbs. One of them is white with a red tip. Replace the end light with that bulb. It should cause the lights to blink.

I thought you had to buy the flashing lights. I didn't think they all did it.
