I've got both, and they have their good and bad point. Leather will take a beating better than textile, and if it wasn't for the heat I probably stick w/ leather. Leather will cost you more, simple as that, so it depends on what you want, performance desired, and little tweaks in it.
Remember to buy the best you can, body amour is insurance, whether you use it or not, get it. Hit the pavement once, and you either praise having it or curse not.
Leather will block the wind the best over any textile jacket, make sure to get one w/ a removable liner, and a wind flap at the zipper. Not only will that wind flap restrict the wind coming in, but if you get caught in the rain it won't go to your chest and chill you even more.
Textile is cooler and more flexible, can be either flow thru or not. Even with a rain proof coating, they still seap by, it's woven. I've seen more options on textile jackets then leather. Even w/ a liner, a flow thru jacket won't keep you the warmest in cold weather, so you will have to layer up.
As far as getting wet, using leather conditioner helps a lot. A slick surfaced leather will shed the rain, rough is like a sponge, so a bomber jacket won't work. Keep them dried out, oiled up, and all should be fine.
I've got 2 jackets, one is a Nexgen, a water proof outter shell with a full length liner, it's a decent jacket other than no rain/wind flap. I have been caught in "What the heck am I doing" rain storms and actually stayed dry other than the on top of the zipper. The liner was damp, but not truly wet.
The 2nd jacket is a Cortech, flow thru shell, full length rain fly, and full length liner. The rain fly has rain/wind flap, as does the main jacket, this works great keeping the wind and rain out. The only bad thing is the flow thru shell channels the rain to the rain fly and then down your pants, since the liner and all is shorter than the jacket.
I also wear a pair of leather over pants, not chaps. In the "OMG" rain storms there was a slight dampness as the zippers, that's it.
Oh, and don't forget the gloves, gauntlet style is always a plus if you know you're going to get wet or cold.
Hope that helps a bit.

RE:
Is it better to get a mesh or leather jacket?
I have a mesh but I wanted to get leather because I'm guessing it would protect the skin better. But I also don't want to burn up. So I was asking for peoples opinions on leather jackets and now some people said stick with mesh. So I'm confused.
I have this...

The all around best Jacket I found is the Vanson Mesh Leather Jacket with a removable liner.
I love mine. The price is not cheap like the ones you have on the links, Pay for a great Jacket and earn respect by other riders. They will bow down to you, if they know anything about this Jacket.
Here's a link to look at them.

The Monza 2 in the link isn't mesh.
Commonly referred to as "textile", I believe.
Mesh is just that, holes big enough to see through.
Looks like a nice jacket, makes me wonder why you want to change. But, that's your business.
Leather used to be the best for abrasion resistance.
There are fabrics, such as used in your current jacket, that come close. They also have other benefits that you won't get with leather. Water resistance is one.
Either material will be damaged by abrasion, and should be replaced when damaged.

Mesh and perforated leather are best for cooling. Mesh offers the least protection whereas perforated leather will be expensive. A good tradeoff is a vented textile jacket which offers more protection than the mesh but is not as expensive as perforated leather while offering less cooling. That being said, any jacket is tolerable if you drink water and acclimatize yourself a little bit.

It's all about abrasion resistance. Leather used to be the only thing, but these days there is mesh, for Summer, and some fabric choices that have the same abrasion resistance as leather.
Leather is nice, though, if it's good leather. It flexes easily, it doesn't flap in the wind, and it's nice and warm. I have a leather jacket and a mesh jacket and I love them both in their proper role.

Both are great. When it comes to crashing on pavement you really want to be in leather. Leather offers better protection against road rash and abbrassions. The jacket you have currently is a winter jacket.

for me mesh jacket are more comfortable and air cooled than leather jacket, it can also gives more protection on your weak points like elbows and shoulders because of the pads.

both will do the job of protecting you ,but the leather can get hot in those temps when your stopped at intersections so a mesh jacket would be better suited for summer riding in those temps
