Brodeur moved into a tie for 2nd tonight with his 94th career SO (tying Hainsworth), Sawchuck has 103.
9 more to tie and 10 to pass him. Can he do it this year? When do you think he will pass the mark?
My guess will be one year from today.

LITY- Been seeing alot of that where a record breaker is a double record breaker- Sundin earlier this year, I think his goal breaker was also the points breaker and there was someone else too.......can't remember which one but another was 2 birds with one stone.

Marty was washed up 3 weeks ago LOL- but some even had Luongo written off, he has 3 SO in a row. We knew Brodeur was notorious for starting slow. Kipper is too, he should heat up soon.

Next season, late in the season, say March-ish. I wonder if he'll set THAT one against the Flyers as well.
P.S. I just committed it to my ever-crowded, wrinkling, Predictions Post-It Note that adorns my monitor.
LITY = My eye's aren't what they used to be. Is your avatar that of Denis Savard or Stan Mikita?

I'm a Devils fan & Marty seems to have gotten into the groove of things & the team w/ so many new players have finally got the chemistry so I think I will have to say Marty will get it this year (if not then maybe miss it by 2)

Everyybody had Brodeur written off in October, and here we are at the end of November and Brodeur has the best GAA and SPCT in November.
Great work Marty
I'm not sure he'll do it this year, but I certainly believe he'll do it next year.
It would be real nice if the 104th shutout was also win 552
Bill...............it's Mikita. I wanted someone older than me :)

Barring Patrick Roy pulling a Tonya Harding on him, Brodeur will be tops in that category shortly after conquering the career wins mark.

Marty is an awesome goalie.I think He will get hot and maybe do it this year.He is due for a hot streak.Pure goalie,He will be one of the greatest of all time when its all said and done.
Someday the award will be the Brodeur Award, replacing the Vezina.

I dont think he can do it this year. Lately he's been hot, but since Rafalski left, the Devils... haven't been the same. (of course, who can be after losing someone like rafalski), the devils really rely on defense more than offense. I don't think Brodeur can pass it this year. Maybe next year about 62 games in the season.

I was at the game last night. Marty looked awesome and the Devils are really putting it together. I have a feeling the shutout crown will be his early next season.

I don't think he can get ten shut-outs this year. I'd say five more this season, then hopefully this time at the earliest. You know how it is with milestones it will probably drag on because he's got it on the brain. (Remember Mats Sundin's 500th goal?) Whenever it is, he is so skilled and deserving of every one of them.
