I like Paul. He tells it like he sees it. I feel that the media has made him unpopular and it's because he carries no bi-partisan agenda - they want flash and glitz and pseudo-camelot (Be it Kennedy, Clinton, Bush). Ron Paul calls people out for not ansering questions during debates, he is honest about where we stand and where we are going - some would debate whether he is correct or not, but noone questions his sincerety or belief in his stances. He is boring to the media and they haven't given him his due publicity because of it. If he were taking lobbyist money and speaking out against something or pushing for more government control he'd be in the limelight and more people would like him for nothing more than face time. The media is full of Socialist leaning leftists who hate the thought of less government control - the left for the most part likes the government to step in and settle their issues, babysit them and make sure evryone gets a taste. Ron Paul wants everyone to EARN a taste and wants the government to let people learn to stand on their own feet again without propping up those who can't remember how to stand. They hate those ideas and in turn shun him when his stances come up in discussion. If he were more visable, more people would support him.

American people don't know what the truth is because of the 4th branch of government- the MSM (main stream media).
I'm tired of hearing about OJ/Scott Peterson/Britney's urinalysis for cocaine/Lohan's DUIs/Paris Hilton's bible knowledge (larry king).
Then the CFR pushes EVERY last candidate except:
Ron Paul, Tancredo, Hunter, Gravel & Kuchinish.
Any wonder why MSM wants anyone but those people?
BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY MSM.
***SFC Ollie.....I respect the fact that your retired and did your thing for OUR branch of service, but I submit that it is you who doesn't know what your talking about- You should use your integrity and clarify how Dr. Paul (who is a fellow Vet mind you) doesn't speak the truth and why the USA would cease to exist. And no, i'm not some dumb 2LT or PFC.
SSG- Drill Sgt/Tanker/Cav Scout/CID.

Absolutely. In fact I believe Ron Paul is a candidate the media naturally hates, which makes the public hate or misunderstand what his message truly is. The media lives on political debates, diatribes, controversies and conflicts and a president such as Ron Paul would bring an end to many of them, and what they truly and silently stand for.

Yes... the corporations (monopolies if you want to get right down to the brass tacks)... the politicians (both sides)... and media (especially cable news) are all up in arms about his "radical thinking" and "conspiracy theories" because they know that once people start hearing the truth for a change they're going to want to know what else they've been lied to about...
Think of it like when someone is getting cheated on... they have this "feeling" for a while that they're getting screwed over... then they want to know the truth... once they find out the truth at first they don't want to believe it... then they believe it but don't want to accept it... from there they question every detail of their relationship growing ever more bitter and jaded... and once they fully realize how much they've been screwed over they long for a change...
This government has a nation full of scorned former "lovers"... and if they didn't want us to turn our backs on them and look in another direction... then they shouldn't have betrayed our trust and assumed we were too ignorant to eventually figure it out...
There is blood in the water now... the media will start picking off candidates one by one by dragging them through the mud... lies will take them down like Giuliani on a teenage Thai boy... the TRUTH can stand on it's own...

I am sorry, but I can't give the voters that much credit. Most
voters just don't know who he is and their initial impression
is created by a media which constantly calls him a longshot
or crazy. Do you ever hear anyone attack Obama at all?
No, it would be racist. It's even racist to reveal his middle name. The liberal media would fly to his defense. It is a liability to be a white guy. I am amazed there are intelligent people who listen long enough to understand Ron Paul's
message.

A few maybe, depending upon how much dissonance their concept of truth varies from his, but most people do not favor Ron Paul because he is a Libertarian who would favor wealth over the working class.
