My answer is similar to m33p0's.
It depends, the Spurs are a much better team the the Mavs, at least when it comes to playing other teams. However, when they play each other the Mavs turn out to be a better team. As much as I'd like to blame that on my childish thoughts of blaming it on Cuban, (the anti-American), for paying off the refs, It's because of AJ's knowledge of the Spurs, and of Coach Pop. He knows Pop's plays, the way and how he thinks, ect., after all Pop was his coach and mentor. How else do you think they have such an advantage over the Spurs?
It is the Spurs with 4 rings over the last 9 and a half years, though. Not the Mavs, who have none may I remind you. So your answer is the San Antonio Spurs. I hope this helped, at least a little.

I would have to say the Spurs. They have essentially the same team as last year. The mavs didn't get past the first round, plus have never won the finals. The Spurs have won the finals a number of times in recent years, so that combined with the basic same team that won last year, I would say the Spurs. Yes, they are getting older, but as you can see, they aren't having a hard time keeping up with anyone. They have a few losses that were butt kickin's, but I think that the Spurs against the Mavs in 7, I'll give it to the Spurs. The mavs beat them in 7 a few years ago, but I don't see it happening this year if it comes down to it. The mavs are very good, but they are missing something. I'm not sure what it is. Avery has got them closer to where they need to be, but to lose to Golden State last year really showed they need something. I just don't know what it is.

Spurs. they are the main consistent team and that they've uncomparable experience in the playoffs. there is purely fairly some hype for the Mavs because of the fact of their extensive-unfold season checklist. that may not going to assist them any extra beneficial with the exception of whilst they have domicile courtroom income. yet, the Spurs have the excellent highway checklist this season. Tim Duncan averages 20 and 10 and has ordinary expertise. The Mavs gained final 12 months because of the fact of a final 2nd mistake by using the Spurs. They for sure could desire to no longer handle the rigidity in the finals. The Spurs have long previous 3-0 in the finals. They for sure are the extra advantageous playoff team.

It is hard to say because Spurs are the defending champs and not many teams in the west can take them out, and the Mavs annihalated the entire League last year except for the Warriors, and are the last team other than the kobe/shaq lakers to beat the spurs in a playoff series, Spurs are mentally tougher and have more experience, but the Mavs are built to beat the spurs and avery johnson knows where to find the spurs weak spots , hopefully they meet in the conference finals this playoffs to see who is the better team, Spurs in 08 is right, they are missing something.

The Spurs are better.
The Spurs are much more experienced and a real coherent team.
Dallas' team is built around Nowitzki, if anything happens to him, foul trouble, injury, choking ..., the Mavs are dead.
San Antonio has more than one option on most positions. Even if Duncan gets injured they have still enough scoring options with Manu and Tony and Finley ...
If you ask me Dirk isn't a really worthy MVP, especially after last years conference finals ... James, Kidd or Duncan were more worthy in my eyes!

the spurs are better than the mavs. you know the spurs wouldnt have changed their lineups against an 8th seed. you know the spurs wouldnt have lost to an 8th seed. the spurs are too good of a team, they got it all. great players, great coach, unselfish players, great chemistry, and great defense.

the spurs no question. they woudn't have collapsed against the heat and they certainly wouldn't be rattled by the warriors. the mavs were built to beat the spurs. that enough should tell you who is better. the spurs on the other hand was built to beat anyone.

Well both teams have good players. The mavs have Nowitzki,Howard,Terry,Stackhouse, and J.J. Barea but the spurs have good players too Duncan,Parker,Ginobbli. I think it all comes down to stats and with that said, i say the mavs
