If That Were To Happen, The Fact That The Person Was Conscentious Enough To Say Goodbye (Repeatedly) Shows That They Genuinely Care. So, Even If A Word Is Not Uttered Upon Departure, I Am Sure That Person, Would Cry Later, Pray For That Person, And Never Forget Them. Unlike Someone Who Says Goodbye When You Leave, Then Forget All About You, "Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind"
The Fact That The Person Is So Attached Is A Good Sign, Believe Me!

It depends on the person who is doing this....
Ask yourself this: how much integrity does the person have? How many times has this person disappointed you since you've known him or her? Were they egregious offenses or were they minor things anyone [with a sense of self and high self-esteem] can overlook [without putting themselves in harm's way]? How much do you care about the person? Do they know how much you care about them? If so, do they tend to take advantage of that fact often?
Could you see yourself without this person if they decided to really leave you? And why would they want to leave you? What did you do to him or her? And what does this person get out of saying 'goodbye' to you so often. Is her or she using it as a tactic to make you "get in line?"
Perhaps this person is doing this because you are annoying him or her yet this person still wants to keep contact with you open.
Yet on the other side of that, they could quite possibly be having a hard time saying 'goodbye,' even though they genuinely don't want to leave you. And in that case, you have a flighty friend who is very indecisive, and needs to work on not waffling about what he or she is going do... especially when it's concerning your feelings.
Hope this helped.

I doubt it, if someone feels the need to keep saying goodbye, and come back then they are in it for the drama. They will keep saying goodbye.

I think it might be a good possibility.
Sometimes, people say goodbye a lot before they actually work up the nerve to walk away.
