If you were the Baltimore Ravens who would you want to start as QB, not only for the Pats game, but for the rest of the year? Kyle Boller has shown time and time again why he's a backup. McNair is not the same as when he was in his prime, even when he's healthy. So who then?

That's the debate so far, but I'm predicting a new era soon. It will start with the 2006 Heissman Trophy winner, Troy Smith. He came in a late pick due to his off the field behavior but has since then been a sideline leader and positive force on the team. With two faltering quarterbacks and an abismal record most teams will turn to the rookie QB, why not the Ravens?

(I'm a Cowboy fan, so this is a mostly objective viewpoint. I have little interest in college football, and no loyalty to any team there)

If Smith doesn't get off the bench this year he needs to start next year. He will become a good QB for the Ravens, much better then Boller.

Smith is shorter then most QBs but he has an accurate arm and is a born leader. I think Smith will eventually have a career like McNair.

When your winning, don't mess with it. When your losing, you need to try new players. It's a $ thing; they want to get all they can out of Boller before they try something else.
