Amen to that, my friend. It's absurd!

What do you mean politically correct? If I want to say Happy Holidays, I'll say it! Christmas isn't the only celebration going on anyway! It isn't politically correct, its just a choice of words. If your that angry about it, I might as well just start saying merry Christmahanakkwanzaka. Don't be so critical about what people say. Be a little bit joyful in your holiday area.

I'm Christian but don't feel that people are trying to destroy christmas. we live in a society where there are different beliefs. not everyone who enters a retail store at this time is buying or celebrating the birth of christ. so in order to get as many people in as possible you keep it as happy holidays.

I would never! Merry CHRISTmas! I would never take Christ out of Christmas.....propaganda I tell you, it's all about the money and who we might offend. For Heavens sake it is Jesus' Birthday. If you choose not to celebrate, then don't ruin it for others who want to....Good Question!

I don't think anyone is trying to "destroy" Christmas.... here's what I think- If I absolutely KNOW that someone is Christian and celebrates Christmas, I happily say Merry Christmas. If I am sure that someone celebrates Chanukah, I say Happy Chanukah. If I don't know, then I see no problem with saying Happy Holidays and covering all bases.

It's called indoctrination and desensitization. Once the references to God are gone from the holidays then it is easier to work on removing them from the rest of society. You start small and work up.
I think it's a load of hooey. Christmas is a religious holiday just like Ramadan or Passover. We don't try to remove the religious references to those observances. If you don't want to observe Christmas for religious reasons, don't. Don't try to shove your beliefs off on everyone else though.

If words destroy celebration of the birth of your Lord for you, you have bigger problems than people being stupidly "PC"...
