Did you know "Hugie" is an idiot? Have you heard all the other crap he's spewed? He knows we're not going to "interfere" with anything, he's trying to get attention. Hugo Chavez is a paranoid lunatic. If he cant cheat his way to a win he will claim the CIA stuffed the ballot boxes, then declare himself the winner by default. I wish he would refuse to sell oil to us. Then we can honestly say we are not supporting that dictator.

Why should we care? Chavez is an anti US government just like Fidel Castro. We have the right to protect our own security.

Did I not mentions that Brazil is a dangerous place?

He would never do it, it would be cutting off his nose to spite his face. Its a type of heavy crude that can only be refined in a few places. The closest place to Venezuela is, guess where? Yup, the good ole USA. He'd be screwing himself and the Venezuelans by doing that.

a lot, the oil the us receives from venezuela i not used for gas, but rather power. the oil is a very thick crude oil. but the sob wouldnt want to do that since he stuffs his pockets with a whopping 100 million a day just on oil sells to the us...
just for the record i HATE CHAVEZ.....

Hard to say. We get about 12% of our oil from Venezuela.

Question is, how much would it also hurt Venezuela.

I do agree in principle though, that the US should butt out of other country's business, short of incredibly hostile provocations.
