Uriah Heep rocks, although I will confess I have never gotten around to listening to Wishbone Ash. David Byron had some amazing pipes, and Gary Thain was actually a pretty good bassist. They had a very...mythic sound to them. Kinda like if Yes and Black Sabbath had children. Stealin' and The Wizard are my two favorite "known" songs, and Sunrise and Why are my two "less known" songs. For albums, you gotta love Demons and Wizards, but there self titled debut is also a killer.

I'm going to show my limited musical knowledge again!

I would have to say I like both equally, because...

I only know 1 Uriah Heep song : Easy Living
And 2 Wishbone Ash songs : Jailbait, Blind Eye

Uriah Heep--Easy Living--is my fave. It reminds me of a time in my teens when my bf (and later my husband) & I would just lay back and listen to music of all kinds.

Wishbone Ash-Blowin' free was really cool, too!!!

Those were the days!!!!! Music (some) today is just not what it used to be!

Had just listened to "The Magician's Birthday" prior to coming online. My vote's in for the Heep (sometime so bad they were great). Still one of my favorite rock names: Mick Box.

For now, Wishbone Ash...but mostly because Heep is still on my "to listen to someday" list.....

Wishbone Ash is playing right down the street from my house next Saturday. I only kinda vaguely know who they are. Should i go?

It's a tie for me...Heep's "Gypsy" and Ash's "Half Past Lovin'" are two of my favorite songs right now.

I can't decide:

I like 'Easy Livin' from Uriah and 'Blowing Free' and 'Jailbait' from Ash.... but now I'm going to check out more from each... y'all are cool!
