Absolutely not. This was Bud "The Idiot" Selig's brainchild and a bad one. The hype was now it made the All Star Game matter or mean something. What it was, was something to offset how pizzed off every fan was at him for calling the game when it was tied.
There was nothing that was wrong with alternating home field advantage the way that it had been for 100 years. Selig just wanted it to look good on his resume when we are (thankfully) rid of him as commissioner.

No no no no and no. And by the way, no. This was an idiotic decision made by a knee-jerk schill for the owners. It's supposed to be a fan-friendly game, you know, put all the players the fans want to see in one game and see what happens. It was never supposed to be a serious game. I wouldn't care if the game tied and went down in the record books as a tie game.
To show you how stupid this idea is... the game counts for something, but the stats don't. The players don't get these stats added to their lifetime record even though it is now an official game! Preposterous!

I am not in favor of it and believe home field advantage should be based on the best won/lost record during the season for the two teams in the world series.

No I am getting d of the fact is that every yer since they have this rule in place, the American League wins the all-star game and the right for home field advantage in the World Series. In fact maybe they should just cancel it, since the American League is going to win it anyways, and juse victory to them.

Yes. For this reason, it would make the sport very controversial. Therefore, I would attract a larger fan base. In addition, it would expose others to the sport who don't understand, which give them the opportunity to enjoy it!!!
