Blacks who speak in Eubonics are stereotypes, and hypocritical one's at that.
In the 60's and 70's when I grew up, when white people learned to respect blacks, when Jesse Jackson was scaring older whites by teaching black teens to raise their fists and shout, "I'M BLACK AND I'M PROUD!", we were told that it was racist to continue using the stereotypes of blacks who said "dis, dat, doze, and deez" [for this, that, those, and these.] So we stopped, even though we all knew old black people who talked that way--at least I did--and I never made fun of them. They were from a different generation, a different time, a different race, and came from a place I would never understand.

Now, Eubonics has spread even to the white kids who think the old stereotypes are something new and cool, instead of what their parents were told was degrading to others.
But I assure you, if a white were to create a cartoon, or a movie, or a novel in which most of the blacks talked as ignorant and stupid as Eubonics makes them sound, the criticism would be far worse than we heard in the 60's and 70's.

People do have tendencies which run according to different hormonal patterns, for example, as well as many other patterns which one can stereotype or not. I lived for about 15 years with a group which studied and applied body types on a daily basis. Some of them stereotyped and some did not. Funny enough some reacted by denying that these types even existed after they left the group, especially one author of one of the main books on the subject. In my opinion this is simply a form of reverse stereotyping or denial.

Yes some people just live up to certain stereotypes, actually almost all of us to some degree. In the above case of body types, I think it is a matter of misinderstanding the material. People sometimes just don`t understand that it is not an exact science and adopt possibilities as musts. The same applies to would-be sciences such as astrology. Why? Because some would rather accept a ready-made opinion, or a ready-made possibility, than make the effort to learn about one`s self, and imo it does require a huge effort to know one`s self. Proper study eventually shows that we are all different in some areas and all the same in others.

Cheers!

Yes. Of course. Because a lot of them are true. I mean, you couldn't come up with a stereotype if the majority of those that fit into the stereotype weren't automatically doing the stereotypical thing.

I believe people do and not that entire stereotypes do.

And I believe this because stereotypes have to come from somewhere, why not from trends in certain groups of people.

all stereotypes are based in truth, or else they wouldn't be a stereotype in the first place.
