Years ago I was at home.I had the urge to draw something. I drew a picture..colored it etc. The next day a picture just like it was hanging in front of the pulpit. One of the ladies at church had drawn it. (No...it wasn't there before)

Gligger...you could be right!! I've often wondered ..when stuff like this happened so much..if maybe I was surrounded by psychics. Maybe none of this was me at all.!!! Whoopee!!!

Liz...is that possible?? a "transference"? It also happened with a surfer(who belonged to the same church). He almost drowned surfing. I had drawn a picture of him falling off a surfboard the day before I heard about it.

kelly...I used to do this a lot. I worked with the cerebral palsy handicapped & put up bulletin boards. I would draw pictures on them (to my surprise) I really think I was kinda "possessed" (if there is such a thing as being "kinda". lol No..I didn't tell the lady. Didn't want to look crazy. Don't put too much into the picture you drew..you might have just been seeing that book in advance. It doesn't mean you'll move there.(I've found this out from experience.) So I guess we're the same in this..only I WON'T draw or write rhymes anymore. I don't want these things to happen to me.

pd...ok..I got it...I read my question again. You can play..you just can't "comment"! LOL

wow denie,
did you ask the other lady why she had drawn it....
you had the urge to draw it, but wonder where her idea came from.....
i had an interesting little experience this year a few months ago....i was sitting at home day dreaming even getting really excited about it,
i was daydreaming about moving to italy, we bought a villa there on top of a mountain over looking the sea with a large out door patio that went to the side of the mountain from our villa, i was getting so excited about it, that i got out all my pencils and paper and i was drawing my vision of it, exactly as i was seeing it.. (i still have it)
then an hour later my sister had come over, she went to a travel agent to book for a short trip just to another state, and she brought me a thick Italian travel book, with hotels and villas, and everything, the first page i opened, i could not believe my eyes, i just sat there staring at it...and i got out my picture that i just drew and showed her both pictures.. the one i drew and the one in the book.....they were the same, the only difference was the villa in the book was closer to the sea, not as high up on the mountain......
i dont have an answer.;.....

EDIT denie, you didnt have to tell the lady anything, except for just asked her, what inspired her to draw such a lovely picture ? i know we always think of things later, and never when they happen...like the day that woman gave me the mary medal, i sat that stunned until she drove away, but the whole way home i kept thinking why?, what made her want to give it me...i still wonder to this day, when i just should of asked her before she drove off...but i know in my heart it was a sign from mary, but i was just curious as to what that woman felt when i turned up.......
EDIT denie i am going to move to Italy in the next couple of years, im just going to finish this house off and get all my work done here, then im off for a new life, i was just daydreaming about what i wanted my place to look like in italy, and where i want to live over there, and i have to have horses there with me on the property, so it has to be big enough.......

This could be chance (coincidence) if for instance you both heard the same sermon it is possible that you several people might have the same thou gt and some people drew their thoughts. If it was unrelated to anything that you were both previously exposed to it would of course be less likely. The problem with these types of experiences is that it is nearly impossible to figure out what the probabilities (chance of) such event taking occurring. This is why early research went to using forced choice (1 out 5 symbols) tests in early experiments.

Remote viewing is usually considered viewing in real time (although some experiments have shown time distortions of information). So, if you saw this person drawing the picture (without being physically present) and then you drew it then that would be remote viewing.
What you are describing in a type of ESP (as is Remote Viewing) called clairvoyance where you detect information (in this case a picture) by other than your five senses.
This could also be telepathy (where the picture was sensed from her mind directly). Unfortunately there is no good test for telepathy.
So, I would conclude possibly Clairvoyance or Telepathy and not Remote Viewing (all are forms of ESP).

Seems like you are a "Sensitive"--i.e. able to know things before they happen, etc. I have not heard the term "remote viewing" but it seems to be similar to a friend of mine who pictured an auto collision one day and came upon the exact thing a week later when a friend's car was involved in an accident. He wondered if he ought to have told his friend before it happened that it was going to happen, but that might seem like he was wishing something bad to happen to his friend. You must have been quite surprised to find your vision (the picture you drew) hanging at the church when you had not put it there. You certainly have a special gift which will need a great deal of effort on your part, to use it wisely. There are not many who can see what you see. May you find the best uses for your talents.

Yes, I am a skeptic. But I don't pretend that science has already figured everything out. People who say that unexplained phenomena can't exist, don't understand the progressive nature of science and the fact that we never know everything. Of course, science is how we learn about the physical world; so curiosity about the unexplained and scientific experimentation is the correct response to what we don't understand -- denial of the possibility of unexplained phenomena based on what someone pretends to understand about science is actually anti-scientific and pure pretention (i.e. pure "posing").

However, we should begin by looking for natural explanations (rather than automatically labeling something "paranormal"). Furthermore, just because we might not know how to explain something doesn't mean it can't be explained naturally.

Your question is interesting. Firstly, what kind of picture was it? For example, if your picture was religious, then it really isn't so amazing for two similar pictures to have been drawn in one religious environment at the same time -- especially since people in a church generally have the same religious topics on their minds at about the same times due to the majority of their religious "thoughts" being based on sermons and common discussions and readings.

As far as the surfer goes, if he was a beginner or if he tends to scare easily or exaggerate (which are actually likely if he's still a churchgoer -- though you haven't explicitly stated that he is), then your drawing of him falling off a surf board would have been nothing more than a completely logical prediction -- even his story being nothing more than likely.

In fact, it is possible that your explanations of the world might be skewed toward the supernatural or paranormal if this is how your religious background has tended to explain things. For example, I once heard a preacher (whom I like as a person) state in a sermon his belief that all creativity is inspired by God -- even going so far as to explicitly claim that all of Edison's creativity came from God (though I know that Edison was an agnostic and had said, "Religion is bunk."). It isn't healthy to automatically assume the supernatural as is done in many churches.

If the above natural explanations don't suffice, I'd like to know the specifics of why not, so I can take another guess. Natural explanations really should take priority -- otherwise our beliefs are nothing more than what we wish to think simply because those thoughts make us feel good while having absolutely nothing to do with truth (except, probably, for being opposed to it).

I hope this has helped you understand. If it hasn't, I really would like more details and another chance to help you understand what's happening.

No, remote viewing is viewing a person or situation as they are right now. An example: I'm in the US, but I have several friends who live in England. By focusing on them, I was able to view their surroundings... enough that I accurately described them and the room in which they sat, and I'd never seen them or their houses before. I could see, in my mind's eye, as if I were looking through a window at them.

What you did seems more like foresight or clairvoyance or something like that. I'm not honestly sure what you'd call it, but I don't think it's remote viewing.

Years ago, did you pick up the church news letter and color in the connect a dot picture on the last page? If you think you and she had a connection did you ask her questions about it or did you just assume this was a "transference phenomena"?

that's where you can see actual events going on without being there. for instance: if you had this talent you could find out if tom cruise really is gay and exactly what's up with area 51 just with your mind.
