Yes it is a comedy...it doesn't really make fun of Johnny Cash persay but the concept of music movies...I think it takes a crack at the beatles, grunch music, folk music, and the whole 60's and 70's era....
So dont' need to worry, it isn't a movie that will attack Johnny Cash....

yes it is. its a spoof on walk the line. it looks funny though
