yes, power steering fluid is used as hydraulic fluid but is also used to cool your power steering pump down, most fords and know most makers are using a steering fluid cooler because with the hot temperature the fluid will break down so is a good thing to have your system flush every 30,000 miles.

relies upon on your utilizing. i might want to examine the oil, if this is dirty it needs chaining. i might want to also examine the vendors guide, more moderen autos do no longer want the oil replaced as many times. My automobile needs oil ameliorations each 7000 miles. an excellent style of oil replacing places attempt to make you've faith you want an oil replace better than you somewhat want. the finished as I suggested, examine to work out if the oil is dirty. wish this facilitates. oh yeah this can help too.Which ever comes first....yet in all honesty...The 3000 miles is the biggest scam Ive ever heard of....this is way too quickly, no be counted what type of utilizing you're doing (city or street). 5000 miles is better like it and for even some autos and vehicles you may do it each 7500 miles. With immediately's technologies both with engines and the oil, you may force better miles and be positive. they say 3000 miles so that you're going to spend better money and make for better fossil gas waste. Oil over the years does damage down and it does lose its lubricating and cooling features, yet i can inform you 3000 miles will basically replace the colour of your oil. when you're utilizing you automobile periodically i might want to bypass to a minimum of 5000 miles. Dont problem about the months component, because as long as your turning the engine over once per week, which will save the engine parts lubricated and the oil from sitting.

yes if you go to a mechanic or shop that wants to rip you off. No where in the owners manual will you see anything about changing the fluid . It is a sealed unit filled with hydraulic fluid that should not need changing unless it gets contaminated with some other fluid or water. Skip the flush and save your money. And look in the owners manual if you see it in there then I stand corrected. But in my shops i refuse to do this unless like I said the fluid gets contaminated. I go strictly by manufacturer specs as far as changing fluids and other parts. same thing for brake fluid.

You can do it if you want to or need to. It's only ATF and I can imagine that changing wouldn't hurt. When you change it make sure that you bleed the air out.
