It caught me off guard. I am surprised, the way he approached life, he lived so long. I just read about he and Kanye West resolving their dispute a few days ago.

I feel that death is a Huge part of living. If you aren't going to do it well, why bother?
He did it well. He lived life to the fullest, and got himself a piece of Americana in the bargain.

We should all be so blessed.
The world will be a brighter place for the wondrous things he did while living.

He was the First! The stuff they are doing on bikes and things now make Knievel's stunts look like childs play, but they owe it all to him. He was Numero Uno! Bet he is roaring around heaven (or hell) right now on the biggest, baddest bike in the joint!

With all the stuff that he has done, cheating death and breaking records. I'm sure even he's surprised he died the way he did and not doing some crazy stunt.
An amazingly crazy guy but very cool, such a shame, but we can't live forever.
~*RIP*~

I just read that today. I knew the guy was on borrowed time, but I was still surprised. I remember when I was a teenager, Evil was a daily household name. Everyone was always waiting to see what he would do next. Too bad.

I was somewhat suprised...(mostly because for some reason I thought he was already dead). He was a very gutsy man; truly one of a kind.
By the way, someone with a handle "Strawberry Fields Forever" should NOT think 69 is particularly old.

Knievel was bad ***. It couldn't actually imagine jumping the Cesars Palace fountain with a giant heavy motorcycle like he did. You won't see people doing that anymore. R.I.P.

He used to live here in northeast Ohio for a while.
I think he had an art gallery in North Royalton.
I remember watching and reading about his triumphs and his catastrophes when I was growing up. I remember watching the Snake River jump that failed.

I was very upset to learn of his passing. I remember all the stunts, posters, and media coverage from when I was a little girl. I saw him as a live superhero. He will be missed.
