I was trying to clean up disc space on my harddrive but, somehow keep getting a spy wear alert on my tool bar (yellow hazzard symbol) even though I have MS onecare, and pc is well protected, system alert comes up? I had spy wear turn off when it happened? But the Icon won't go away, as it only pops up when I'm on certain sites I made it inactive or hidden in control panel, but after a restart it is active again?

Please help????

Download the free version of Supernantispyware. This program will find and destroy what all other antispyware program never find. You will get daily auto. updates. Suggest that you perform a complete indepth scan and reboot if the software advises when the spyware is really a nasty one.

You have a spyware mascarading as an anti-spy or anti-virus program.

Download Spybot:Search and Destroy from this link.
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
Run it to clean out the spyware.

If it asks you to allow it to run at next boot - say yes and then reboot as soon as the program finishes it's scan and clean.

It will only ask if the spyware is actively running in memory, where it can prevent Spybot from removing it. Spybot will prevent the spyware program from loading into memory at the next boot, and will thus be able to kill it.

Run this program on a regular basis, and always check for updates before scanning.

Program is FREE and works very well.

Have you checked what programs are hiding in your computer using control panel, add remove programs. See if there is something you don't use, haven't put on or can't explain. Always worth having adware which is a free download from www.lavasoft.de.

system alerts are actually generated by a zlob trojan. It is annoying and dangerous along. It will display fake computer security alerts i order to make user download fictitious anti-spyware software to clean PC. Unfortunately, offered software is helpless.

Is your AV software up to date. I don't know your problem but you can get a reasonable free AV program called AVG. Just search for AVG with your browser, you'll find it. Best of luck.
