A line is being drawn in the sand. Which side of the line are you on? Protesters want this woman killed because she allowed her students to name a teddy bear Muhommed. Should she be saved by any means necessary or do you want to sacrifice her to a greater good?

Zrk; Why bring race into it. Are you saying a black teacher should be left to the dogs? Kind of like the black christians that are being killed by the muslims in Sudan.

Just reading about this incident gives me the impression these people aren't even fit to govern themselves. I think they would profit from still being under colonial rule.

Sub-Saharan Africa has been described by U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan as "a cocktail of disasters." That is not because colonialism in Africa lasted so long, but because it lasted a mere half-century. It was too short a time to permit Western institutions to take firm root.

Consequently, after their independence, most African nations have retreated into a kind of tribal barbarism that can be remedied only with more Western influence, not less. Africa needs more Western capital, more technology, more rule of law, and more individual freedom.

Putting a teacher on trial for something this nutty exposes the nightmarishly simplistic thinking of that government. They obviously need more teachers like her to educate the masses.

When a student doesn't pay attention in class, and falls behind his grade level, he is held back a year. Looks like the Sudan falls under this category. They've proven themselves horrifically incompetent. It's back to the colonial system for them.

If she was a government employee and ordered to work there maybe the British government should help. But most likely she wondered down there of her own free will. Why should a government come running to her rescue ? Hello ! Sudan is a third world terrorist supporting islamic craphole. If you're stupid enough to go there you're stupid enough to take what you get. The government of your home country does not owe you a rescue mission because you are stupid.

Yes. And get all nice normal white westerners out of those horrific barbaric places and let them save their freakin' selves. I understand how she wants to save the world. But now she has to save her self and go home. If her people don't save her they are worthless jerks.

All I hear is that we want our troops home and then we want to use them because a person will be wiped. Better start to think when we should use our military. As far as Irag everyone was for it now it is a mistake, feel like flip flop kerry is in charge of the country.
