This has been driving me crazy for about a year or so, but anyways, on the Beatles' song, "Here comes the Sun", who sings lead vocals? I have always thought it was George Harrison, but my mom says it's John Lennon...?

Let's all get up and dance to a song
That was a hit before your mother was born
Though she was born a long, long time ago
Your mother should know....

...that it was George.

George Harrison wrote this in Eric Clapton's garden using one of Clapton's acoustic guitars. When the Beatles' manager Brian Epstein died in 1967, the band had to handle more of their accounting and business affairs, which Harrison hated. He wrote this after attending a round of business meetings.
John Lennon did not play on this. Around this time, he was making a habit of not playing on Harrison's compositions as the two were not on the best of terms. The two eventually settled their differences as George contributed quite a bit to Lennon's album Imagine 2 years later.

It was written by George Harrison in Eric Clapton's garden, and was sung by him as well. Harrison sang all his Beatles songs. His other big songs were Something and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

George wrote and sang it. It is often mistaken that John Lennon sang it, but that's George's voice. He sang heart-warming songs. John's style was more cold and strange.
