Closure is good! Very much necessary I believe. It reassures people and leaves little doubt. It also relieves pressure off the others mind, so yes it eases pain. I don't think it mends the heart no, time is what mends. I like to always have closure. The problem is that many people that end things aren't sure of themselves and say something then later say something else. It gives closure a bad name and weak meaning to some and they don't take it seriously. This also makes it harder for others to have closure later on because it was never used seriously.

I hate the word "closure." But to answer your question, we DO need some kind of ending to every situation in our lives. Unfortunately, this is not always possible. When a criminal is convicted and sentenced, for example, family members may feel "closure." It may bring some relief, but it can't mend a broken heart. And only when we reach out to others can the pain be eased, although I feel the ache will always be there to some extent. For me, time doesn't heal; it just makes the pain bearable.

Closure to the living brings resolve to body , mind, soul.
Closure with a dieing loved one brings a bitter/sweet peace,
a farewell.
A heart is not broken it is wounded, a scar remains, time eases the pain, the pain gets less intense if you embrace the
pain don't fight it feel it, until you can let it go, relish the victory
of love that once was, not the defeat of the loss, just remember the good parts.

You need to have closure. It seals the wounded heart from emotionally bleeding to death. Closure won't ease your pain, or mend your broken heart, but it will make it easier to go on knowing that you closed that chapter of your life. As hard as it seems now, you will be alright... trust me. ♥

"Closure" is "THE" word of the century. Only time eases pain and mends a broken heart.

closure will make you be able to move on. it might ease
the pain but it won't mend the heart , only time will do that.
