why does he wanna date me?

i have a guy friend that i knew as a kid we,ve never been more than friends but recently he asked me out.i told him i think its better to be friends because thats how i,ve always seen him and he said it was cool.i know he wasnt honest when he said it was cool because he still hits on me and flirts alot.im confused why he likes me that way because he has many other femal friends and i asked him why doesnt he just pursue a relationship with them and all he says is their my friends and im like well so am i lol. i asked a couple people about this and they say he sees something in me that his other friends may not have and iwonder what that could be? why do you guys think he wants to date me?

he must see you as special. he probaly doesnt see any other girl the way he sees you and maybe he just cant help but like you but if you dont feel the same just keep assuring him that you guys are just friends.

Since we don't know either one of you, we can't possibly tell you what he sees in you, but it's not hard to believe he sees something pretty significant. The best person you could ask would be him, right?

He likes you DUH!!! This could be a lot, there's a lot already you know about each other, I say go for it. You never know what'll happen till you try. The only thing is if the realationship goes bad, (And I mean really bad!!!) That could ruin your friendship, but still go for it and see what happens. Best of luck!!! ;-)

sometimes when you grow up with someone you have crushes... maybe he has never gotten over his crush...
he knows things about you most people don't , cause you were friends as kids.....
let it be, if you don't feel the same way , do not encourage him....it will blow up in your face....
