It's okay to admit it. As a Liberal, most of the people you would find at an anti-war rally would make me blush.

There are folks who want to teach Creationism in science class alongside Darwinism, Cookie Monster.

Umm... Sway, I would love for you to tell me how teaching Creationism in public schools isn:t shoving God down someone's throat.

Yes they are embarassing, mostly to themselves though. Contrary to popular opinion nothing says that in order to be Conservative you have to be a Bible-Thumper. I'm pretty conservative on a lot of things. But this is definitely one of those issues where I end up parting company with a lot of Conservatives.

yes ... they're confusing science and what is testable with faith and what is not testable.

the whole notion that the Bible is/was divinely inspired is a lot of hot air. That Council back in the 3rd century [or was it the 4th] went on for weeks -- a sure sign that they weren't united and that the end result was political, not truthful.

I don't know, but I am embarrassed when I hear scientists telling us how we "evolved", or about the "Big Bang", as if they had witnessed it. Religion needs to stick to religious matters and scientists need to stick to things that they can observe and test with the Scientific Method. Otherwise, they both look foolish.

Not sure what you are talking about. Example please?

Thanks for the example. I do not have a problem with that. I dont understand why people are so afraid of kids being taught any and all of the theories that are out there.

I am embrassed for the people who feel that they arent strong enough to be exposed to anything without having to believe it. I mean the anti-God people who feel that anyone just saying "God" in front of them means they are hainvg god shoved down their throats

If you teach all the "theories" then you allow young people to THINK FOR THEMSELVES

I don't think creationism or intelligent design has any place in a classroom.

I don't have any holy roller friends, but I support their right to do as they please.
