Are the media a real cause of violence and crime, or do they simply report what they see?

They sensationalise what they see, and make isolated incidents seem like epidemics. I don't think they are a cause of violence and crime, but they certainly contribute to people's fear of it. The fact is, as a law abiding citizen you are far, far more likely to be killed by, say, a poor driver than you are to be murdered; but thanks to the media many people are much more scared of the latter.

The media reports only what it wishes to report!

The media regularly leaves out important stories that would clash with the wishes of the large corps. that pay their ad rates.

Have you seen or heard about fuel-less, pollution free, closed circuit, renewable, hydro-electric power?

That's because big electric power which spends millions on ads doesn't want this to become common knowledge.

What would be the outcome if all of America suddenly realized they have been vastly over paying for polltuion based electric power when 100% clean power has been totally snubbed and the public has been denied the clean cheap electric power?

Would there be a backlash against big electric power?

Most of America is paying 10 times more for the pollution based power than what the clean power would cost!

This doesn't include the clean up costs for big powers mess we will have to foot the bill for on top of the cost of their polluted power!

A backlash against the media for not telling the whole truth even when it's been sent them more times than can be counted?

Go to www.uspto.gov and enter # 5,430,333 and see this patented 100% clean, cheap, fuel-less, renewable electric power source the media and big power don't want you to know about.

This is just the tip of the iceberg!

This non-reporting is ongoing all over the nation as SOP!

Some of each.
Crimes will happen in the absence of media; and the criminals will be glad of the lack of publicity.
On the other hand, irresponsible and incorrect reporting can be very dangerous.
Newsweek's incorrect (and implausible) report that US soldiers flushed the Koran down the toilet, caused rioting in many countries. Deaths and injuries and destruction predictably resulted from irresponsibility in the media.
