Liberals are perennially enraged that Republicans are allowed to talk back. For years, this wasn't a problem, because, in Lenin's immortal words, they had seized the telegraph office. There were only three TV stations, three major newspapers, and a handful of national magazines, all run by liberals. But at least since Rush Limbaugh got a microphone, liberals haven't been able to make arguments in a vacuum.

The Fairness Doctrine is not a raw deal. What IS a raw deal is that life is unfair. For some inexplicable reason, even though we Liberals are SMARTER than you boring, stodgy old Conservative stick-in-the-muds, you guys just seem smarter. Your talk show hosts and tv commentators just seem to be born with a silver tongue.

Well, eloquence should not be a substitute for good, solid Liberal thinking. Unfortunately, a lot of our ideas sound a bit half-baked when they are actually spoken out loud.

That's the problem in a nutshell ! Our ideas merely SOUND nutty, when in fact they are brilliant. Liberal thinking is thinking with your heart, rather than just your brain. Thinking without compassion just leads to more injustice, don't you see?

Your problem, and that of your overly cerebral Conservative ilk is that you think everything to death. In your myopic little world, everything has to be "feasible", and has to some "cohesive, logical plan".

I ask you bluntly, what's wrong with just doing things because they make you feel good? Are the negative consequences really so bad?

Hammering one idealogy all the time, without apology and with severe malice to the opposing opinion, is shameful journalism.

While I concede the left do this just as readily and blindly as the right, I don't condone it for either side.

The amount of political dialog that focuses on bipartisan discussion, and dares to seek answers across a broad slice of the political spectrum diminishes each year. It makes me sad really, politics has become as credulous as rooting for a sports team.

It's not even dialog and discussion anymore we just regurgitate the philosophy of one party over the other. We simplify the discussion, to comfort those who think exactly like we do, and demonize those who do not.

The Al Frankens of the Rush Limbaughs of the world capitalize on this simplicity, by simply pandering to it and making gobs of money along the way.

Opinions are much cheaper to produce than actual investigative journalism after all, and both sides are guilty of simply coalescing over media that advocates their prejudices.

until the Radio Czar (or in spite of he's) has some thing to declare approximately it. i like FOX information because of the fact the ladies are extra handy on the eyes and talk radio because of the fact it supplies me some thing to do on long rides. Many others do too. in the event that they convey back the equity Doctrine (below a distinctive call) there'll be some extreme courtroom circumstances as i do no longer think of that there is something criminal approximately it, as though Obama and his merry adult men care.

We almost lost these voices last summer when the Libs used congress to try to silence AM radio. Fortunately, the ploy failed. I think it's good that the opposing views are out there. The mainstream media heavily spins and filters the info we get. So I'm glad talk radio is there - to point out the unfair practices the Dems conduct, as with the recent debate questions.

The only thing Rush Lintball got was illegal Oxycontin that he abused for years. What a great role model for our nation!

Hell yeah! Can you believe the double standard with CNN and the republican debates, that would never be brushed under the rug if it were Fox news in their position.
