My sister inlaw is pregnant with her second child. She's due late December. I'd like to get something for the baby. They don't know if they are having a boy or girl. She did save all the baby stuff from their first baby (girl). So I really don't know what they'd need or what would be a good and helpful gift other than a gift card. Which I would rather not do. I don't want to ask her what she'd like. And other than buying stuff directly off of a baby registry I'm clueless on what to buy. Especially for a second baby. Please give me some ideas.

The best gift I got for my 2nd was a photo frame with a gift card to have a family portrait done once baby arrived. Since I still had most of my must have items from my first, I didn't need (or want) the ususal baby stuff. Years later, it is still my favorite gift, one I will always treasure!!

Diapers. Check out amazon.com for some pretty good prices on Huggies and Pampers. You can even set up auto delivery on Huggies and save 15% (plus free shipping and no sales tax) for a gift that keeps on giving. Seriously, as a parent, diapers that come right to your door are the ultimate gift.

I think diapers are a great idea... and maybe a diaper genie with some refills. Those always come in handy. Oversized receiving blankets are also a great gift... the regular sized ones aren't usually big enough to swaddle (something they don't tell you ahead of time). You can't have enough photo albums, too.

Maybe formula... unless she breast feeds.
New bibs, extra blankets, diapers, there are always things that are needed.
