Why the "shell" do people do that? Its so annoying, i know a kid in skool thats a midget, a teacher called him a "little person" the other day, and the kid freaked out on the teacher. So they, at least he, doesnt like it. why do people do that?

Currently considered to be the politically correct term.
Midget smacks of a circus sideshow, and there are many types of dwarfism; "little people" covers them all.

Probably because it is their own way of describing themselves. There is or was a reality show on TV and they all referred to themselves as little people...when you're a midget you really can't expect people to call you a giant. There are meetings all over the USA every year of
"little people" (and that is what they call themselves) to meet each other so if your schoolmate objects it is because he has issues with his size rather than the label...

Because,its something they feel comfortable being called as.Like,they don't wanna be called "Short person" or "Midget" or "Dwarf face".So thats why.They are LP's.Ever watch "Little people big world"?
