The reason I ask is I have a certain question answere that has e mailed me and becuase I got a right answer 10 points over his..he told me he was going to from now on give me a bad rating on every answer he seen me answer ..LOL..not like this is the end of the world, this is his hangup not mine! i am not mad or anything for I enjoy it here..I was just curious to see if hie ego has really goten the best of him..I'm sure glad my life isn't as sour as his seems to be ..lol..Poor guy..I hope he gets himself straightened out and finds some inner peace..Bet he cheats when he plays solitary lol..please tell me if there is a way to see..I need the laugh

LOL personally it dont bother me a bit..I think it's funny that he does..I might want to buy him a "Home Labotomy Kit" for christmas lol...I come here to help people if I can at all...And no I won't rate his questions with a thumbs down, for I then would be putting myself in his sad little world that he exists in lol...I'm too busy trying to help people and smiling about life to lower myself to his standards..I just bet he is reading this and trying to figure out how to give me two thumbs down to each question..any bets he loses sleep over this lol...someone throw him his thorazine..he's gonna have a long night lol

There's no way too. Everyone is supposed to be anonymous voters.

Hi
As far as I am aware there is no way of tracing who gave you a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Why does it matter anyway? This is a community of questions and answers and everyone's views and opinions are different. One has to accept that or else leave the forum.
Because of the points system some people take this forum too seriously. It is not all about points. This forum is not a game. It is not a contest. It is about making a contribution, about helping others, about seeking advise.
Unfortunately there are a lot of negative people with low self-esteem who tend to make mischief. It is best to ignore negative postings rather than feed the ego.
Blessings and Love x

What is the problem?
You do the same to his posts and see how long he wants to continue with his game.
That will put you on an even keel if it really bothers you.
Personally, I couldn't care less about the points system.
When you get 1,000,000 points you get to answer a few more questions.
Big thrills, indeed.
The real advantage of yahoo answers is the incredible depth of knowledge that can be found in the other posters for most questions. (brainless, not included).
Just think for a few seconds on the stripe of person who would actually email you with a message akin to a baby throwing a rattle in a tantrum.
Stick him on ignore, forget it and move on.

Q/A is a part of an experiment how people use the internet.
Its to see how we behave on the internet.
So we are like test mice and cant control it.

I think that the "thumbs down" represent the bad ratings, but I don't think there's any way to see who gives them.

OK, you got yourself a wacko jealous stalker who views you as competition. I had a similar situation once but he got bored and moved on to another victim. But unfortuantely, there is no way for you to tell...of course, if he is sending you actual correspondence you might send it on to Y/A and tell them what's going on.

We are all anonymous; so there's no way to trace this person who is giving you thumbs down!

maybe yours was the best answer but that best answer got him into trouble like maybe you said "tell the truth" so he did, now he/she is on the outs with their better half. Such is life.

A low rating doesn't really do anything to you. All it does is hide that particular answer from the person who gave you that rating.
